That was a fun gathering (:...not. :|

Never mind the fact that i had to leave YPM to come home for dinner. That i could be having fun with Cheryl and Gen. I mean after all, if i have some fun at home, i wouldn't miss that, right? :x

Talk about chilly.

I came back home, we had dinner. Most of the conversation was between our parents. Actually all. And about my uncle's mother's cancer?? Actually the conversation was mostly between my Dad and my Aunt, so it's more like about my Aunt's mother-in-law's cancer? YEA. Anyways, i found that a strange topic for dinner :/ and my Aunt was kinda flippant about the subject. It's not her mother anyway. No wonder my uncle didn't say anything?? x.x

Then after dinner, i helped cut fruits (kinda badly cut :P) and then after that wondered where they were. The younger was on the sofa playing his PSP, the elder was upstairs happily using the computer to play fb games (==;)...so i go up, try for some conversation...

Make small talk. Going good (: Then he tries to show me some videos of his personal science experiments, of a sparkler bomb and some...cold fusion, was it? It's interesting, honest! I liked it, but i don't understand it. And what he needed was for someone to understand it. And there comes the problem of my brother being on duty now :/

He brought citadels, so whilst he was doing his own stuff on fb games, i looked through the cards, read the rule book. Yep. Citadels' rulebook is actually quite okay to read. Not like some wordy instruction booklet, it's instructions are short, clear cut, and to the point. Pretty interesting too :)

Well, somewhere in the middle of the above, the younger came up, asked to play monopoly or risk (did i mention that while i was away, he took out the monopoly set and left it in the middle of the floor opened with some of the contents strewn out? :X) Yea...we pointed out that monopoly took too long to play, and i Risk is old :P

Oh and the elder sure doesn't treat his younger brother nicely...he told his bro to go down, get his bag. The younger got the citadels and monopoly deal up, and got scolded, cause the older wanted his bag with his camera to show me his science project vids :/

Anyways, so the younger played his psp, the older played fb games (mousehunt, battle stations etc.) and i read the rulebook of citadels. Awesome. I think not. :|

Until the younger's PSP battery ran out xD and then he bugged us to play with him monopoly deal again. So we kinda did, since i had also finished reading the rulebook :P

And then just as we had started, their father came up to tell them it was time to go. Wheeee~ Of course we asked for more time. Unfortunately, the game was not enjoyable at all with an impatient father staring down our backs the whole time? :/ geh.

Time to go, time for me to put a fake smile, say bye, look as if we had fun together. I'm sure the boys actually did the same too :/ I actually think they were as eager to come as i was as eager to entertain. haha. And my aunt was like "come over some time" -smiles- haha ok. -smiles- -closes door- -facepalms- to do what, exactly? x.x

Don't get me wrong. I don't hate my relatives or anything. It's just...i find this rather awkward especially cause my brother isn't around. Guys. Different interests...and you expect me, a girl, to try and mix/entertain? sorry...that's why i was kinda annoyed and gloomy about the whole thing when i realised my bro had duty today. Awesome how he only said yesterday. And the best thing? He was actually pretty happy about having duty. Damn him. D:

Anyway, they're nice. I mean, it's not as if there's an age gap or something. The older one is one year older than me, and the younger...in sec sch? But...interests differ greatly i suppose :/ The elder was going on about how having the power plug near a drain was a ironic location to have his cold fusion experiment? It's supposed to be funny, but i don't get it. I don't do science anymore for goodness sake!! My bro would probably get it i guess :|

And so i'm now lamenting (once again, i believe) about the fact that all my female cousins(/relatives) who are around my age are not in Singapore!!! They aren't even in Singapore, GEEZ! See...the other Singaporean cousins (female) are like...in uni? Older? And since we meet like...once a year, obviously we don't talk. Yep. They aren't even interested in making conversation with me. So there. And in Malaysia? W-ell...cousins are all babies or kids. Aunts, 2 are kids, the rest are past uni. They're all nice, we all have fun. But it's different...

So where are all the female cousins my age?? :O Cherise -> same age (younger by a week >D) in England. I've never seen her before :( Marilyn -> 1 year younger (though she looks older >D) in Australia. Visits sporadically (the most, once a year). I MISS HER ;A; We get along just fine even if we barely see each other. Even if the only communication we have is MSN. Same interests, see? SEEE? D:

okay...maybe this is more like a MARILYN COME TO SINGAPOREEEEEEEEEEE post LOL.
