Primary School

Just came back from a gathering for my Primary 6 class (which means essentially people who have been with me for most of my primary school life).

Honestly if you ask me what i remember most about Primary school, it would be spending recesses in the library in P6, being a librarian in P5, selling mai ya tang in P5, Mdm Rafeah being an awesome teacher, playing erasers in the school bus, painting murals in P6, time spent with Jing & Di (though i don't know doing what), Fooey, being best friends with Jordan in lower primary, playing weird invented games in notebooks.

That's not really a lot of things for 6 years. I mean, if we were to talk about sec school or JC, i think i could list a whole lot more of stuff. So for the most, Primary school passed me in a blur. It wasn't as if i hated it, but it wasn't as if it was largely memorable. I guess it's because i wasn't particularly close to most of the class? That one year friend you one year don't friend you thing didn't really go well with me? IDK. I mean i remember that to be a time when "best friends" changed so fast it was really ridiculous -.-

I guess that's why i was reluctant to go for the gathering today, though i'm kind of glad i did in the end even if half the things they talked about i didn't understand seeing it's VJ stuff (at least half the class got into VJ) and/or outings i was never part of. It's interesting to see how the people who went turned out especially from how they originally were like in NAPS. It's also quite funny i guess to hear them 'bitching' about some people, though in certain parts made me understand why i never grew close to them.

Most of them are the typical "jock" type i suppose. Seeing how they label some of the artsy flamboyant people i know as 'weird'. I mean this doesn't mean they're not nice people, it's just that in their eyes, there is only a certain kind of 'in' and normality i suppose. Not that there's anything wrong with that, since everyone has their own ways of judging and their own criterion when choosing friends.

As for me, i'm just one of those geeky people i suppose. Someone who loves reading, writing, and youtube videos. I like who i am and i like the friends that i have acquired over the years. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Gatherings like these are interesting, but they'll never be as fun as outings with people whom you can be yourself with, people whom you aren't afraid of being retarded and weird in front of.

LOL i don't think there's a real point in this mini essay, but okay bai, will probably be missing for some time. Too much work @_@

To wear contacts for USS or not :O

Pros:
1. Cannot see that clearly - impact of ghosts lessened?
2. Taking a lot of Halloween themed pictures!!

Cons:
1. Not used to it/lazy
2. Cannot see too clearly = nothing to be scared of become more scared?

Hm.

TGIF

Wadup! :D

This week was pretty good (:

Spent my monday and tuesday studying late in school for FA (although tuesday night ended up being excitedly planning for bintan in dec :D). Wednesday's FA test was o...kay...not that great, but such a relief that that's the end of midterms :D Then i stayed back to do homework, so i was actually quite ahead this time :D

Thurs was a little more lepak-ish, though i procrastinated while i was supposed to draw my cutouts for EM vid...i really hope it'll turn out okay and not too childish >_<

Today was great :D

Met Pee for Pee time! We did devo, and then we went to tekkan ^^ and with extra money on the card, we contemplated on what to do...always a dilemma :O until we spotted the neoprint machine (OMGOMGOMG) And then we spent forever staying there decorating our photos :P (hooray for unlimited time til next customer hahaha)

It was uber fun taking Pee-esque epic drama-mama pictures :D

While not too clear, the top left was us being mushroom heads :D Uber cutez :D

Top right was us being bimbz and diva 8D like gur prz, we're too cool for you~ ;)

Bottom left random pose in a backdrop that ended up being Halloween themed :D And awesomely themed, i must say. There's so many elements of awesome in it, okay? ;D Like the cow jumping over the moon, the super cute sheep we're 'counting'! The ghostly hand putting the pontianak in who then begins to chase the pig (therefore keeping us safe and sound :P) hurhurhur (And a random thought! It's because pig is in spooky sentosa tonight, that's why! 8D)

Aaaand bottom right is us being retarded in a sunflower field. SUNNY YELLOW BANANA DAY FTW!~

Right.

So anyway, i was watching Masterchef on TV before meeting Pee :X And very much felt like eating chocolate lava cake after that and after dinner heehee :P So i proceeded to try and make it :3

The first was gloopy on top, so i chucked them in some more. The second one was slightly better but still goopyish :( so i chucked the last one in longer...

AND VOILA PERFECTO! *jumps around squealing like a happy kid*

So yumz *q* hehe

Alright. Off to do work now lol X_X

Looking forward to USS on Sunday ^_^

Time to get the cue cards out. Winging it isn't going to deliver results anymore.

13 October 2012

I shall do Nano this year.

Even though there's a thousand things that's going to be due in November and a whole load of other things that needs to be done that's probably going to be worse than A's but maybe not as severe in the decide-your-future way? I will still do Nano.

It just won't be my priority.

So that means i probably won't be able to finish it...like screnzy (but Nano is different from Screnzy!)

And i don't usually start things i won't finish...

But i'm still going to do it.

Cause i miss writing fiction so bad. Like so, so bad.

10 October 2012

Finally restarted grandpa lappie after...weeks...a month? (I know i'm terrible...i was using it until the batt died and it hibernated and then i was lazy to take the charger out, and then after a few weeks i charged it but was lazy to turn it on...)

And the programs that were still on grandpa was R and a few R guides LOL.

Respite

Hello friends (: School has been pretty hectic, but i've finally got somewhat of a respite which i thank God for. Of course, if i don't want to die in week 12/13, i'm gonna have to start cracking now.

Namely:
Boot up foundations for Stats
CT project
BGS essay
FA midterms revision

Which would rightfully keep me busy enough for the week. Not to mention the fact that there'll be a couple of fun outings like cookoff on Monday and a visit to NUS ^^

Today's YPM sermon was a good reminder of how i should not let the currents of school and everything else sweep me away. A reminder to keep God as my foundation and my center. After all, with the strongest rock as my foundation, there's no way i can be shaken (:

Song for this season:

But really, looking back on the past few weeks, there's really been loads to thank God for.

Firstly, would definitely be the group of new friends i've made that have made school so much more meaningful and fun.

Next would be all my friends from JC and secondary school whom i've formed such tight bonds with. I'm so glad that despite all our busy schedules we're still making the effort to stay close and catch up. I really treasure time spent with both the sec sch grp and the nuamonsters ^^

Going back to CCHMS and reliving old memories at singpost KFC with Bombs n Doorways was loads of fun. Like really, really, nostalgic fun! And Ruby Sparks was also a great movie (:

Nomnom with the nuamonsters is always fun and yumz :D

Also thank God that despite all my frustrations and blood boiling for my BGS group we still managed to get through the elevator pitch. I shall stop worrying, leave it to God, but do my own part. Still need prayer that they'll be more responsible though >_<

More thanksgivings would be for my CT group. Admittedly in the beginning i was scared because we were so awkward at first and everyone seemed not to want to take CT seriously which was a mood dampener. But now we're all on the same wavelength, we're having fun with our project but being very focused and efficient. I'm really grateful for such a good group with great group dynamics. Spending the afternoon talking with Elizabeth was great and i really hope as she said that our CT group can keep in touch (:

I guess i should thank God that i got a potentially interesting econs group despite my socially awkward self being socially awkward in econs :x heh...

Lastly, i'm glad that history didn't repeat itself, i don't feel so indebted and i have no regrets :D haha

ALRIGHTOS good luck to those having midterms this week and next next week! GAMBATTE!~ ^^v
